Hampton Wildlife Fund Scholarships

Includes four different scholarships:

David M. Cline- for a student majoring in law enforcement, criminal justice, and forensic science.

Harry Hampton- for a student majoring in the natural resources.

Wallace F. Pate- for a student majoring in the natural resources.

James O. Thomason- for a student majoring in journalism, advertising, public relations, or communications.

Kittie Moss Fairey Educational Fund Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students who meet certain academic(GPA=3.0, SAT=1100 or ACT=26) and financial criteria(Gross Income less than $40,000).  Students must be planning to attend a four year college/university in SC.  The application can be found online. Deadline to apply is January 15, 2018.

South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship Program

This scholarship is offered to students who meet certain academic criteria(GPA=2.75) and have a competitive or recreational interest in golf. Students must be planning to attend a four year college/university in SC. The application is online and more information is available in guidance. Deadline to apply is January 15, 2018.

SC Association of Educational Office Professionals Marian Garrett Student Scholarship

This scholarship is open to students that will be attending an institution of higher learning and pursuing a degree in business, preferably business education.  There is no online link for this application.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline to apply is December 1, 2017.

SC Teaching Fellows

The SC Teaching Fellows scholarship is open to legal residents of South Carolina and current high school seniors who will be attending college as a freshman in the fall of 2018 to major in education to teach in South Carolina. Fellowships are based on academic achievement, references, community and school involvement, an interview and a writing assessment. Students must attend one of the eleven Teaching Fellows Institutions. Currently, these include Anderson University, Charleston Southern University, Coastal Carolina University, College of Charleston, Columbia College, Francis Marion University, Lander University, USC Aiken, USC Columbia, USC Upstate, and Winthrop University. The application can be found online.  Deadline to apply is December 8, 2017.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship Program

This scholarship program is open to students enrolling in a four-year college in fall 2018.  Requirements include a GPA of 3.5 or higher, SAT score of 1200 or above or ACT score of 26 or above.  Must demonstrate significant unmet financial need. Application is found online. Deadline to apply is November 14, 2017 at NOON.

Scholarships are available to seniors who plan to enroll full-time in a two-year, four-year, or technical college.  Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be active in the community through volunteering, sports, clubs, and/or religious organizations.  Application can be found online at the link above.  Deadline to apply is December 15, 2017.

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarships

Requirements for applying for the scholarship include:

  • Be a graduating, minority high school senior
  • Plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States
  • Show leadership potential
  • Demonstrate a dedication to community service
  • Present evidence of financial need
  • Be a United States citizen
  • Have a minimum SAT score of 1000 or ACT score of 21

Federal Mogul Automotive Technician Scholarship

Requirements include:

  • at the time of application be (i) enrolled full-time at a US high school; or (ii) accepted or currently enrolled, either full-time or part-time, at an accredited college, university or trade school within the US. Trade school should be the equivalent of a two-year associate program.
  • be in pursuit of an automotive technician degree or certification (or equivalent degree/certification).
  • carry a minimum 3.0 grade point average.

2018 Journalism Contest

Journalism contest on the topic "Inclusion Drives Innovation."  Must be a SC resident and graduating senior planning to attend a four-year SC state supported institution.  Winner of the contest receives a four-year scholarship for tuition and fees.  Entries must be postmarked by February 1, 2018.  More information is available in the scholarship box in the Guidance Office.

American Legion Oratorical Scholarship Program

Scholarships are awarded to the winners of the "Constitutional Speech Contest."  Applicants must be US citizens and prepare a speech of 8-10 minutes.  The deadline for the first round of the speech contest is January 24, 2018.  More information is available in the scholarship box in the Guidance Office.
