Hampton Wildlife Fund Scholarships

Includes four different scholarships:

David M. Cline- for a student majoring in law enforcement, criminal justice, or forensic science.

Harry Hampton- for a student majoring in the natural resources of wildlife biology, fisheries, forestry, marine or environmental science.

Wallace F. Pate- for a student majoring in the natural resources of wildlife biology, fisheries, forestry, marine or environmental science.

James O. Thomason- for a student majoring in journalism, advertising, public relations, or communications.

Kittie Moss Fairey Educational Fund Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students who meet certain academic(GPA=3.0) and financial criteria.  Students must be planning to attend a two-year or four-year college/university in SC.  The application can be found online.  Deadline to apply is January 15, 2019.

South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship Program

This scholarship is offered to students who meet certain academic criteria(GPA=2.75) and have a competitive or recreational interest in golf. Students must be planning to attend a four year college/university in SC. The application is online and more information is available in guidance. Deadline to apply is November 28, 2018.

SC Teaching Fellows

The SC Teaching Fellows scholarship is open to legal residents of South Carolina and current high school seniors who will be attending college as a freshman in the fall of 2019 to major in education to teach in South Carolina. Fellowships are based on academic achievement, references, community and school involvement, an interview and a writing assessment. Students must attend one of the eleven Teaching Fellows Institutions. Currently, these include Anderson University, Charleston Southern University, Coastal Carolina University, College of Charleston, Francis Marion University, Lander University, USC Aiken, USC Columbia, USC Upstate, and Winthrop University. The application can be found online.  Deadline to apply is December 1, 2018.

2019 Journalism Contest

Journalism contest on the topic "America's Workforce: Empowering All."  Must be a SC resident and graduating senior planning to attend a four-year SC state supported institution.  Winner of the contest receives a four-year scholarship for tuition and fees.  Entries must be postmarked by February 2, 2019.  More information is available in the scholarship box in the Guidance Office.

SRNS Family Scholarship Competition

This scholarship is open to sons and daughters of active, full service employees of SRNS that are graduating seniors planning to enroll in a four-year college/university.  Applications are available in the scholarship box in the guidance office.  Deadline to apply is February 5, 2019.

Hagan Scholarship Foundation

This is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship.  Students must be graduating seniors, have a 3.5 GPA or higher, have scored 23 or higher on the ACT or 1150 or higher on the SAT.  Students must also work 240 hours in the year prior to starting college.  Students must complete the FAFSA and have an EFC of less than $6500.00.  Application is found online.  Deadline to apply is November 15, 2018.

Cleophas Screven Memorial Scholarship

A scholarship established in memory of Cleophas Screven.  Applicants must be a graduating senior planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college.  Transcript, 2 letters of recommendation, and an essay are required with the application.  There is no link to this scholarship.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline to apply is February 28, 2019.

Ron Brown Scholar Program

This is a scholarship available for students that excel academically, show exceptional leadership potential, and make an impact on their community through service to others.  Requirements include being a Black/African American, current high school senior with intention of attending college in the fall.  The application also requires letters of recommendation, transcript, SAT/ACT scores, tax return demonstrating financial need, and two essays.  More information is available in the Guidance Office Scholarship Box or at the attached link.  Deadline to apply is January 9, 2019.

National Beta Scholarship

Scholarship for graduating seniors that are registered National Beta Club members as of Nov. 1, 2018.  Students must apply online using the provided link.  First round deadline to apply is January 24, 2019.

Fort Gordon Spouses & Civilians Club Merit Scholarship

Scholarship for graduating seniors that are military dependents or a dependent of a current member of the Fort Gordon Spouses and Civilians Club that will be attending college at a regional college, university, or technical college.  Applications are available online at the provided link.  Deadline to apply is February 12, 2019.
